Sightseeing
in Marrakech and a day walking the Ourgaine Valley in the Atlas
Mountains
So close to home, yet so completely different. This short break
provides a great taste of the rich history and culture of Morocco,
as well as its stunning and varied landscapes. There is time to
explore the Imperial City of Marrakech with its historic mosques and
palaces, maze-like souks, tranquil gardens and the Djemaa el Fna
square. A stunningly scenic drive takes us to village of Ouirgane in
a picturesque valley in the High Atlas, where we walk through local
villages and into the Azaden valley. The Berber inhabitants are
colourful and friendly, living according to the seasons and age-old
customs.
