A tough trek
to the High and Central Atlas, with an option to climb North
Africa's two highest peaks
This tough but very exciting trek combines the two greatest areas of
the Atlas and we cross the beautiful and largely uninhabited valleys
and passes between them. From Jebel Mgoun, in the Central
Atlas, we head west. We enter the High Atlas below the twin, often
snow-capped, peaks of Toubkal and Ouanoukrim. This is a trek
through the hidden Atlas, which provides the opportunity to climb
both Mgoun (4068m) and Toubkal (4167m), North Africa's
highest mountains.
